Outdoor Track and Field Meet Information Packet

2022 New England Men’s and Women’s Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships

11:59pm Monday May 2 -Entries close on Direct Athletics. Final declarations should be submitted to Direct Athletics. Performance list will be posted Wednesday May 4: Late entries will be accepted through Tuesday May 3 at 11:59pm for a penalty of $50 per individual or $200 per team. 5,000m qualifying marks may also be used to qualify an athlete in the 10,000m. If using a 5,000m qualifying mark for entry into the 10,000m, enter the athlete with a “No Mark” on Direct Athletics, we will verify those marks from TFRRS.


Final instructions will be emailed to participating teams Wednesday May 4th by 8:00pm. SCORING: Eight places will score (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1). All field event trials will be seeded in rank order; 9 competitors will move on to the finals in the field events. Positions within the flight will be random. 8 competitors will advance to all running event finals. In the 100m and High Hurdle races, heat winners will automatically advance to finals, with the remaining positions filled on the basis of time.


Intent to compete check-in for 100m, 100H, 110H, 200m, 5K & Relays. Athletes must check in for events no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled event start time. Track Event check-in & hip number pick up will be located at the tent adjacent to Peck grandstands near the finish line. Field Events will report directly to venue.


Progressions will be determined by the games committee and sent out with final instructions.


Certification will take place in the shed located on the backside of the Peck grandstands and next to the main hammer/discus cage. Certification will ONLY take place during these time frames and for events contested that day only.

  • Thursday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM, 1:00PM – 4:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00-10:30AM


In the case of inclement weather Towne fieldhouse will be available for warmups and team camps. The fieldhouse is located across Latham St.


There will be a hospitality area for the coaches and officials available at Riley Room in the Weston Building throughout the day on Saturday.

Protest must be submitted in writing (protest forms will be available at the main administrative tent) to the referee within 30 minutes from when the results are posted for the event in question. The referee will then give a written response to the coach who filed the protest. That coach may appeal in writing to the games committee if the decision of the referee is not satisfactory. The games committee will make the final ruling.


Athletic Trainers will be on site 90 minutes prior to start time of the first event each day. Modality (e-stim, ultrasound, heat) treatments will be provided until competition begins each day, visiting athletes must provide a note from the treating athletic trainer. The athletic training room will close at the start of competition each day, and any last-minute needs can be addressed at the athletic training tent on the infield. Ice and athletic training services will be available throughout the day. Athletic Trainers will be on-site for 1 hour following the completion of the last event.

The Lee T&F Complex at Weston Field is a 400 meter eight-lane oval – 8 lane straight Beynon surface Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, and Pole Vault and Javelin runways have track surface Shot, Discus & Hammer Circle is concrete. Only flats, 1/4” or shorter spikes can be used on the track and runways. The fieldhouse is open for warmups in case of inclement weather. Bathrooms are available under the main grandstand (at the football/lacrosse field)


Camps can be set up on the natural grass areas surrounding the track or in the stands. No team camps on the infield.


Awards will be presented to the team champion and runner-up teams in a brief ceremony near the finish line around 4:30pm (or as soon as possible after the meet ends). Top three finishers in each event will be awarded a t-shirt. Shirts can be picked up at the table next to the clerking tent.
